The TZID-C positioner is an intelligent and electronically config-
urable instrument with communication capabilities, mounting to
pneumatic actuators. The TZID-C stands out for a small and com-
pact design, a modular construction, and an unequalled cost-per-
formance ratio.
The functional heart of the TZID-C positioner is its microprocessor-
controlled CPU where the operating system is running. The
mechanical and pneumatic assembly groups only have secondary
functions. The input signal and the position feedback signal are
polled with a sampling rate of 20 ms and A/D conversion in 4000
steps and then processed. This ensures a rapid and high-precision
signal processing for the input and the position feedback. The
power for the CPU is derived from the input signal.
The operating program includes an Autoadjust routine for auto-
matic adjustment of the device in the commissioning phase, and
an adaptation program which provides for optimal control of the
position until reaching the set point.
